Knock, knock, knockin' on your coworking door
How do you manage visitors at your coworking space?
There's always a lot going on in a coworking space and it's normal that your coworkers receive visitors from time to time, whether pre-arranged or just because they're passing through. Managing visitors can sometimes be tricky, depending on several factors, such as the space's size, how busy it is or its layout. What's more, some "traditional" methods can disturb the space's atmosphere.
A “Check-in” app for iPad has been available on Nexudus Spaces for some time now. With this tool you can keep an iPad in your space's entrance and:
- Collect data from visitors: By entering basic contact details, the people visiting the coworker can let him/her know that they have arrived. This also lets you keep a more detailed record of who is visiting your space.
- Check coworkers in and out: As you already know, there are different ways to check-in coworkers in Spaces (manually, or via Wi-Fi or rfid). With the "check-in" app and an iPad in the entrance, coworkers can also check themselves in quickly and easily.
- Look up coworkers in the directory: Community is your coworking space's main value. In Spaces, the directory included in the "space's website" linked to your account lets you look at your community and see who is in the space in real time whenever you want.
- Let members know that their visitor is waiting for them From the iPad app, all you have to do is click on the button "Let [Name] know you are here" and it will send the coworker a notification to let them know that their visitor is waiting for them. It's up to the coworker if he/she wants to attend them or not. We all know what it's like to get unexpected or unwanted visitors... ;)
