NexEvents APP Update: New Year, New Design!
Since the coworking movement started, events have been at the core of many spaces. Events in coworking spaces are as diverse as their communities. From classic networking events to wellbeing workshops or concerts, these activities are a great way to keep your community engaged and can even serve as a potential source of new members. Do they bring money to the space? That’s a different debate and depends on several factors. When it comes to logistics, they can be a nightmare to organize, but technology can help. Originally part of NexIO, we decided that NexEvents was essential to streamline attendance and let you focus on what truly matters.
When you’re hosting an event and juggling a million things, the last thing you want to do is manually check attendees as they arrive. Instead of fumbling with paper guest lists or managing check-ins on your laptop, you can simply set up a sleek tablet with NexEvents and let it do the heavy lifting. With a brand-new design and powerful features, we hope it helps you get the job done and welcome your attendees smoothly.
NexEvents has just undergone a stunning redesign, packed with features to delight both administrators and attendees. If your device has automatic updates enabled, this update will be installed automatically on all devices using the previous version of NexEvents. If not, a quick manual update is all it takes to unlock the new capabilities. Let’s explore how these changes elevate your members’ experience when they attend an event
Two Modes, Infinite Possibilities
The revamped NexEvents introduces two modes: Self-Service Mode and Hosted Mode. These aren’t just software updates—they’re tools to craft top-notch event experiences.
Self-Service Mode: Empower Your Members
Many events tend to take place at the end of the week. Imagine one of those workshops you organize on a Friday evening when energy levels aren’t exactly at their peak. Attendees arrive, clutching their smartphones with QR codes or PIN numbers from their emails. In self-service mode, they can check themselves in effortlessly. They tap the screen, scan their ticket, and—voila—they’re in. No lines, no fuss.
This mode is perfect for:
- Workshops: Let attendees focus on learning rather than queueing.
- Networking Events: A seamless entry process encourages mingling right from the start.
- Wellness Sessions: Yoga class? Meditation? Self-service mode keeps the vibe calm and stress-free.
If an attendee’s curiosity is piqued by another event, they can tap “More Info” to view details and scan a QR code that takes them directly to your Members Portal to purchase tickets.
Hosted Mode: The Human Touch
Now imagine a high-profile product launch by one of the startups in your space. Your team is on hand to greet VIPs and ensure everything runs smoothly. In hosted mode, the app empowers administrators to:
- Scan tickets or enter PIN codes.
- Manually check attendees in and verify tickets.
- Add last-minute guests with free tickets, ensuring no one is left out.
This mode shines in:
- Corporate Events: Greet executives with a tailored check-in process.
- Hackathons: Handle large crowds efficiently without losing the personal touch.
- Community Meetups: Accommodate walk-ins seamlessly.
Mistakes happen, but hosted mode allows you to ‘uncheck’ attendees and correct errors. However, tread carefully—this removes the check-in record from reports, so it’s best used sparingly.
Switching Modes Made Easy
Flexibility is key in coworking spaces. Security is also paramount, and only unrestricted administrators can switch between Self-Service and Hosted modes, ensuring control remains with your team. A simple login with email and password is all it takes to toggle between these powerful functionalities.
Built on Feedback, Your Feedback
We didn’t just guess what you needed—we listened. This redesign incorporates the feedback we’ve gathered from coworking operators around the world. The result? A perfect balance that delivers an exceptional user experience (UX) paired with a beautifully designed user interface (UI).
Why These Updates Matter
Events are often the heartbeat of coworking spaces. New ideas, networking, and collaborations are born, and communities thrive through the events coworking spaces organize. But too often, the logistics of managing events can steal the spotlight. By automating check-ins and streamlining processes, NexEvents lets you put the focus back where it belongs—on your members.
Here’s the secret sauce: convenience breeds loyalty. When attendees breeze through check-ins, they associate your space with ease and efficiency. When administrators find their workload lightened, they have more time to create value elsewhere. And when events run smoothly, everyone wins.
Real-World Magic in Action
Let’s paint a picture of NexEvents at work:
- The Freelance Friday Meetup: Freelancers from various industries gather to share tips and collaborate. Self-service mode ensures everyone gets in quickly, leaving more time for networking and idea-sharing.
- Tech Startup Demo Day: Investors and media arrive to watch pitches. Hosted mode lets your team provide a VIP experience with personalised greetings and effortless check-ins.
- Monthly Member Social: A casual gathering with drinks and games. Administrators can easily add last-minute attendees, fostering inclusivity and spontaneity.
Update and Elevate
This update is designed not only to help you manage events more efficiently but also to provide your members with a better experience. A great first experience at your space can turn first-time visitors into loyal members and loyal members into passionate brand advocates.
